No smart phone or apps needed – just a cellphone with a camera. Unfortunately, if you don’t register your cellphone you won’t be able to send postcards from your cellphone.

  • What is the Address Book?

The Address Book makes sending postcards fast and easy. Once you’ve saved your addresses on our website, you’ll never have to type the address again! That’s because each address is connected to a Cellphone Shortcut, which lets you skip the step of addressing postcards.

To tell us where to mail postcards sent from your cellphone, simply end your message with the # sign and the recipients’ first and last name as it appears in your Address Book (ex. #Ann Smith). Of course, our Cellphone Shortcut makes it easy to give your friends and family shorter names like “Mom,” “Grandma” and “Sis” if you’d like. Either the full name or the shorter name will work! Just don’t forget to add the # sign first.

If you’re sending postcards from the website, using your online Address Book means that all of your addresses are just a click away.

Hint: you can use any name for the Cellphone Shortcut, but we will automatically choose the Name saved with the address by default. For more about Cellphone Shortcuts, see the section labeled Cellphone Shortcut

  • Will any cellphone work?

While many phones in the U.S. will work, there are two major factors that determine if your cellphone will work:

    1) The phone’s features – your phone must be able to take pictures and send pictures to another phone number (sometimes called picture messaging or MMS).

    2) Your carrier – currently, we are able to support phones using AT&T™, Verizon™ and Alltel™, though we are working on including new carriers all the time! When you register, we’ll let you know if we don’t support your carrier. And if we don’t, you can send postcards through our website until we do.

    2) Try adding a picture to a text message. Some phones provide the option to attach a picture to a message while the message is being written.

    3) Browse your photo gallery. Some phones give the option to send a picture message when you select a picture. Try pressing “Options,” or a similar choice.

  • Any tips on taking the best quality pictures with my cellphone?

Here are some things to consider when taking pictures that will show up on your postcards:

Lighting – many phones don’t have a flash, so the more light, the better
Movement – be sure to hold the phone still while taking a picture, otherwise the picture may be blurry
Image Quality – many phones have different quality settings for taking pictures. For best results, use the highest quality setting. Check your phone’s manual for more information.
Maximum message size – many phones automatically compress photos before sending them. Be sure to check your phone’s manual or your phone settings to be sure that you have the largest messaging setting possible.

  • Is there a limit on how long my message can be?

Yes. Messages may not exceed 14 lines and 250 characters, which means that if you average about 5 characters per word, you can fit 50 words into your message.

  • Can I send a postcard without a Cellphone Shortcut?

No. If you do not add the “#” sign followed by a Cellphone Shortcut at the end of your message, then we will not know where to send your postcard. Be sure to end all messages this way, or you will receive a text message notifying you of the error.

  • Can I send a postcard to more than one Cellphone Shortcut?

Absolutely. If you want to send a postcard from your cellphone to more than one person, all you have to do is end the message with multiple Cellphone Shortcuts. Each name should be separated by a comma (ex: #Ann Smith, Dad, Bob Carr). You can send the same postcard (same picture, same message) to as many as 20 different Cellphone Shortcuts.

  • What if I forget the Cellphone Shortcuts from my Address Book and I’m not near a computer?

We will not charge you without your approval, and you can buy more postcards from the website at any time. We cannot send your postcards unless you have enough postcards in your account.

Whenever you exceed your postcard balance (in other words, if you try to send a postcard when there are none remaining in your account), we will ask you to buy more postcards before we can print and mail your order. If you are sending a postcard from your cellphone, we’ll send you a text message asking for your approval to buy more postcards. Similarly, if you are sending from the website, a message will appear asking for your approval to buy more postcards.

  • Can I send more than 20 postcards at once?

From the website, you can send as many postcards as you want. A message will just ask that you buy the postcards before we send them.

Currently, from the cellphone we cannot charge you for more than 20 postcards per message, so if you plan on sending large amounts of postcards from your phone, we recommend sending them in separate messages or buying postcards from the website in advance.

  • Do you send me a receipt after I buy postcards?

Yes. You will receive an email after each purchase, including the details of your transaction.

  • How do I change my billing information?

After signing in, click on the “My Account” link at the top right side of the page. A window will appear. Select the option that says “Account Information.” From there, you will be able to modify any of your stored billing information.

  • Where can I find a history of all of my transactions?

After signing in, click on the “My Account” link at the top right side of the page. A window will appear. Select the option that says “Billing History.” This will open a window with a list of all your purchases and sent postcards.

  • If I cancel the service, can I get a refund for the remaining balance in my account?

Yes. If you decide to cancel your account at any time, just call 1-800-592-8575 and a Cellphone Postcards representative will help you with a refund for your account balance.

NOTE: refunds are only given for postcards that you’ve paid for and have not used. We cannot give refunds for postcards that you’ve received as a trial or a promotion.

  • After registration, can I edit the information in my account?

Yes. Any time you want to change something in your account, just log in and click on the “My Account” link at the top right side of the page. Select “Account Information” to edit your account information.

  • What if I move? Can I change my return address?

Yes. Just log in and click on the “My Account” link at the top right side of the page. Select “Account Information” to change your address.

  • What if I change my phone number or switch carriers?

If you change your phone number, log in and click on the “My Account” link at the top right side of the page. Select “Account Information” to change your cellphone number.

If you switch carriers, please keep in mind that currently we only support phones on AT&T™, Verizon™ and Alltel™. When you enter a new cellphone number for your account, we will let you know if we do not support your carrier.

  • What if my credit card expires? Can I change it?

Yes. After signing in, click on the “My Account” link at the top right side of the page. A window will open. Select the option that says “Account Information.” From there, you will be able to modify any of your stored billing information.

  • What if I forget my password?

Click the “Forgot your password?” link below the log-in area. You will then receive an email with a link to a page that will help you reset your password. Here, you will be asked to answer your security question and then select a new password.

  • What if I forget the answer to my security question?

If you cannot remember the answer to your security question, then you cannot reset your password online. You will have to call a Cellphone Postcards representative at 1-800-592-8575 to get a new password.

  • What if I forget my log-in name?

Your log-in name is the email address you used when registering with Cellphone Postcards. If you cannot remember this email address, then you will have to call a Cellphone Postcards representative at 1-800-592-8575 to retrieve it.

  • What if my postcard is sent to the wrong address?

Be sure to update the address in your Address Book so that future postcards are sent to the correct address. See the section labeled Address Book

Privacy Policy

Cellphone Postcards (herein referred to as “CPPC,” “us” or “we”) collects personal information from users of our service (herein referred to as “users,” “you”). By using the website, you agree to accept the terms as laid out herein. Please read the following Privacy Policy to understand what we collect from you and how we use and manage that information.

The Privacy Policy will explain:

1) Personal Information

2) CPPC Use of Personal Information

3) Disclosure of Information

4) Jurisdictional Issues

From time to time we may amend our Privacy Policy without notice by posting any changes on our website. Changes to our Privacy Policy will automatically be effective ten (10) days after posting.

1) Personal Information

During Registration and when you are purchasing postcards, we will ask you for a variety of personal information, including your name, email address, mailing address, credit card number, expiration date, billing address, and other information as it becomes necessary. We collect and store this information in your account so that we can provide you with our services. To keep this information private, your account is protected by a password that you choose. Other information that we may store in association with your account includes: the images you submit for postcard creation, the messages you submit for postcard creation, the addresses of recipients you store in your address book, a record of transactions between you and CPPC, a history of products you purchase and related information, and correspondence of any customer service calls.

2) CPPC Use of Personal Information

Our aim is to provide our users with the best possible experience, by creating a process that consists of sending and buying postcards in a manner that is easy, fast, efficient and personalized. To do so, we ask for, store and use personal information from our users to make this experience possible. For instance, it's quick and simple to address postcards when using Cellphone Postcards because we provide the user with access to addresses stored online and because we automatically add the sender's return address.

i. Credit Card Information. Any time a payment is made, credit card information is transmitted using an encrypted format and a secure server. All payments made to CPPC are processed by our 3rd party payment processing vendor (Chase Paymentech). Therefore, your payment information is never stored directly by CPPC - rather it is stored by our payment vendor in a secure account. CPPC does not have access to your full credit card number - instead we instruct our vendor to process payment on our behalf anytime a purchase is made to one of our accounts.

ii. Your Submissions, Text and Images. When you create a postcard, whether through our website or through a message sent from a cellphone, we may store the content you submit for that postcard, including the message text, addresses and image. CPPC does not review or screen postcards for illicit or inappropriate content. The postcard, as created by the user, will be printed and delivered by the United States Postal Service or another postcard destination jurisdiction. We may store postcard content beyond both printing and delivery. Such content may be made available only to the user of the account that sent it - your postcard content is never shared unless we are explicitly directed otherwise by you.

iii. Statistics and Aggregate Data. From time to time, CPPC may compile information about the business and its performance to share with investors, business partners or the press. Such information will always be presented in the aggregate and will never contain personally identifiable information.

iv. Correspondence to Personal Addresses. Any contact information - including, cell phone numbers, mailing addresses and email addresses - will not be sold, provided or disclosed to anyone outside of CPPC, unless it is required by one of our partners to perform a function of our service. CPPC only uses contact information when in correspondence related to our service. A user of an account may opt out at any time.

3) Disclosure of Information

i. Service Providers. CPPC shares information with third-party service providers to provide you with our Service. Information is only provided to perform specific functions for the purpose of providing you with the Service and is not used for any other purposes. We only share information with third parties if and when it is absolutely necessary for the service to operate or if otherwise required by law. The types of functions that these partners perform may include: payment processing, postcard printing, postcard delivery, address verification, customer service, promotional rewards fulfillment and SMS and MMS message management. It should be noted that all transmissions involving payment processing is handled in an encrypted and secure manner. For more information about credit card information and how we protect it, please see section 3. iv (Credit Card Information). Our vendors are employed by us to provide you with various aspects of our service, and will only be given access to information that is absolutely necessary to provide you with the services we offer. We do not provide any personal information to anyone or any entity outside of the above-mentioned relationships. In addition, we will not sell or distribute any personal information related to you and your account.

ii. Legal Requirements. Circumstances may arise wherein we are obligated by law to disclose personal information, including but not limited to, cases where a user is in violation of U.S. law or the CPPC terms and conditions. In such a circumstance, we may be obligated to disclose personal information to entities outside of CPPC.

iii. Assignment. We reserve the right to transfer information to a new entity or third party as a part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of some or all of our assets, joint venture, assignment, transfer or other disposition of all or any portion of our business, assets or stock. If such an even should take place we will notify you via email and/or by notice on the Site.

iv.Website Cookies. When you use our website, we may use cookies to track and store information related to you. A cookie is a small file that is automatically stored on your computer, which allows our web server to immediately recognize you when you visit our website, and allows us to provide you with a more personalized service.
